Overview
Unilever needed to replace its legacy careers website with a modern global platform built using GST 2.0. The new experience needed to express Unilever's updated branding, integrate with the wider recruitment technology ecosystem, and establish a CMS-first framework for faster, more scalable content creation.
My role
I led the end-to-end UI design process and creative visual direction. This included developing alternative visual approaches, translating the new brand identity into a digital experience, designing responsive interfaces, creating reusable components and modules, defining CMS page application and producing development handovers. I worked closely with Digital Project Managers and developers to maintain design quality through delivery.
Translating the identity for digital
Unilever's new visual identity provided a strong foundation but had not been fully interpreted for a complex global careers website. I explored different visual styles to determine how the identity could operate across content-rich pages, candidate journeys, responsive layouts and reusable CMS modules. Rather than treating every page as an isolated composition, I designed a consistent family of components and interchangeable modules that preserved the distinctiveness of the new identity while keeping the experience usable, accessible and scalable.
